"On point" (100 years of Royal Academy of Dance exposition in V&A museum)

On point is a temporary exposition, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Royal academy of Dance, hosted in the V&A museum in its Theatre and Performance section.
The ballet-lovers can find a recorded introductory speech from Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, the president of the Royal Academy of Dance, costumes worn by famous ballet dancers (for example Margot Fonteyn, Rudolf Nureyev), stage & costume designs, short film, excerpts from ballet with Margot Fonteyn or Darcy Bussell, photos and other unique material, including shoes worn by Darcey Bussell at her 2007 farewell performance. You can visit the "On point" exposition until 1st of May 2022.
Apart from the temporary exponents, Theatre & Performance section (rooms 103-106) proposes a fascinating collection of: costumes from musicals performed on stage (for example The Lion King, Kinky Boots, The Wicked), from films (for example costumes worn by Vivien Leigh or Fred Astaire) or costumes worn by pop stars (Mick Jagger, Prince), posters, photos, puppets, theatre maquettes, designs and illustration from performances since the 19th century.
